Jesus Through the Week

Begin With Jesus. Return to Jesus. Finish With Jesus.

A week can become more than a list of responsibilities, appointments, and unfinished tasks. It can become a rhythm of walking with Jesus and allowing His Word to shape ordinary life. That is the purpose of Jesus Through the Week.

Each study gives you one passage to carry through the week using a simple rhythm:

Begin with Jesus on Monday.
Return to Jesus in the middle of the week.
Finish the week with Jesus through prayer and reflection.

Our current journey is called The Love of Jesus, a 12-part SOAP Bible study series designed to help you see the love of Jesus clearly, receive it personally, and understand how His love changes the way you trust, obey, forgive, serve, and love others.

Our Current Series: The Love of Jesus

The Love of Jesus is a 12-part journey through passages that reveal the heart, compassion, service, sacrifice, and faithfulness of Christ.

The series begins by establishing an important foundation:

Study 1: Loved Before You Were Strong

Romans 5:8

Jesus did not wait for you to become strong, worthy, or spiritually impressive before loving you.

Main truth: The love of Christ begins with grace, not performance.

Study 2: The Shepherd Who Knows You

John 10:14–15

Jesus does not love His people from a distance. The Good Shepherd knows His sheep personally and lays down His life for them.

Main truth: You are not unknown, unseen, or forgotten by Jesus.

Study 3: The Compassion of Jesus

Matthew 9:36

Jesus does not look at overwhelmed, helpless, or broken people with irritation. He sees their need clearly and responds with compassion.

Main truth: Jesus sees your need, cares deeply, and does not turn away.

Additional studies will explore how Jesus welcomes the weary, receives repentant sinners, enters grief, serves humbly, loves faithfully, lays down His life, secures His people, and teaches us to love others.

How the Weekly Rhythm Works

Monday: Begin With Jesus

Read the selected passage slowly. Notice what it reveals about the heart, words, actions, or love of Jesus. You do not need to understand everything immediately. Begin by allowing Scripture to direct your attention toward Him.

Monday practice

  • Read the passage slowly.
  • Read it again.
  • Notice one word or phrase.
  • Ask Jesus to help you see His love clearly.

Begin with Jesus before the noise becomes louder than His voice.

Midweek: Return to Jesus

By the middle of the week, plans may have changed, responsibilities may have multiplied, and your attention may feel divided. Return to the passage through the Observation and Application questions. Notice what Scripture actually says. Name the real struggle, fear, belief, decision, or relationship where the passage needs to shape your response.

Midweek practice

  • Return to the Scripture.
  • Complete the Observation questions.
  • Name the specific issue in your life.
  • Identify what you have been believing.
  • Let Scripture correct and guide you.
  • Choose one faithful response.

The middle of the week can become a place of return rather than spiritual drift.

Friday: Finish With Jesus

Return to the passage one more time. Read A Word for This Week and receive A Personal Prayer for You. Use the prayer prompt to speak honestly with Jesus about what the passage has revealed. Some responsibilities may still be unfinished. You can place them into His hands.

Friday practice

  • Review the passage and your responses.
  • Read the devotional reflection.
  • Receive the personal prayer.
  • Respond to Jesus in your own words.
  • Carry the central truth into the days ahead.

Finish the week by trusting Jesus with what remains unfinished.

Keep Walking With Jesus

You do not need a perfect schedule to begin.

Start with one passage.

Return when your thoughts become scattered.

Bring your real needs and questions before Christ.

Finish by placing what remains unfinished into His hands.

Some weeks may allow time to complete every section. Other weeks may give you only enough time to read the passage, carry one truth, and pray one honest prayer.

The goal is not perfection.

The goal is to keep making room for Jesus within ordinary life.

Begin with Jesus.
Return to Jesus.
Finish with Jesus.
Let His love shape the days in between.
